What is the difference between N95s and KN95s?
The main difference between a KN95 and a N95 respirator is where the mask is certified. A N95 respirator is certified in the United States and a KN95 is certified in China.
Other difference is that in order to be N95 certified (USA) products need to have headloops instead of earloops.
N95 means >95% particulate filtration
KN95 means >94% particulate filtration
What is the difference between a face mask and a respirator?
According to the CDC Disposable Face Masks offer better barrier protection against droplets, while respirators, when used correctly, provide better respiratory protection. Respirators create a tight seal around the nose and mouth and often filter more than 95% of particles in the air, while disposable surgical masks sit more loosely on the face and the melt-blown filter layer effectively protects from the inhalation of large respiratory particles.
How long do face masks typically last?
Medical professionals recommend you change the 3-ply Disposable Face Masks after every use. Always be sure to clean your hands before applying and removing the face mask to avoid the transfer of any germs.
How long do fabric face masks last?
The Korean, Dart and French Face Masks are designed with comfort and longevity in mind. Our fabric face masks should be replaced after 60 washes.
